From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On January 4, 2012, at approximately 1419 hours aircraft Learjet 35A, N754WS, s/n 197 made an emergency landing at fort Lauderdale international airport (fll). The aircraft was on a 14 CFR 91 flight from fort Lauderdale executive airport (fxe) to orlando sanford international airport (sfb). privacy data omitted, The pilot in command (PIC), stated that he departed fxe and the take-off was normal. However, fifteen minutes after the departure the hydraulic pressure light illuminated and the hydraulic pressure gauge showed zero pressure. Immediately, the PIC contacted miami center and cancelled his IFR flight plan to sfb. At this time, the PIC requested to fly at 9,500 feet altitude around west palm beach and proceeded to perform the emergency checklist for this type of occurrence. Upon completing the emergency checklist and burning enough fuel the PIC requested from miami center to divert to fll. The PIC performed the emergency landing gear extension procedures and proceeded with the approach to fll. After landing at fll the PIC deployed the aircraft parachute to assist with the breaking and applied the emergency brakes. The fll emergency fire trucks responded to the site. After the aircraft came to a full stop the aircraft was towed off the active runway due to no hydraulic pressure. The aircraft was taken to a repair station where the troubleshooting of the malfunction of the hydraulic system was conducted. The malfunction was isolated to the nose gear hydraulic retraction line located at frame 9L stringer 19 under the floor panels of the left pilot seat. The hydraulic line corroded to the point were it created several pin holes which caused the aircraft to lose all of the hydraulic pressure in-flight. The repair station submitted service difficulty report (SDR) number JKIR2012010619587.

As the FAA filed it

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC), STATED THAT HE DEPARTED FXE AND THE TAKE-OFF WAS NORMAL.
