From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On jan 23, 2012 express jet flight 6060, on approach to international airport dulles (kiad), experienced a left main gear unsafe light indication. The crew diverted to Baltimore Washington international (bwi ) due to lowering RVR reports, and proceeded to land after running qrh procedures for a partial gear up landing. The landing was safe and the crew stopped the aircraft on runway 10 and called for an emergency evacuation of the aircraft and blew both fire bottles for the left and right engines per the qrh. Passengers were then removed from the runway by bus and transported to iad. Bwi airfield was then closed for the next hour. No injuries were reported. Aircraft was towed to the gate without further incident. Jan 24, 2012 express jet maintenance removed and replaced a left main landing gear proximity sensor connector. Completed gear swings and landing gear operation checked normal.
