From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot landed aircraft after heavy rains and stated during interview that water was present on runway. Upon touch down the aircraft continued to drift left, pilot stated he attempted to correct with right rudder imputs. Aircraft continued drifting left until all wheels were in the grass, causing nose gear to collapse. Aircraft came to a stop next to runway in grass. After viewing tire ruts in grass it appears pilot touched down left of center line with left main landing gear tire only a few feet from grass. From that angle at touch down there would have been very little time to correct. The aircraft rudder and anti-skid system was checked by mechanics after incident and found to be working properly.

As the FAA filed it
