From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During 2.5 hour training flight aircraft made two sucessfull landing at kbfm and kpns prior to incident. During final to 2R4 landing gear indicated unsafe. Visual confirmation by ground personnel and flight crew confirmed nose gear was at mid extension. Attempts to cycle the landing gear in normal and emergency modes failed to fully extend the nose gear. Aircraft made an emergency landing, during which the nose gear folded upward and the aircraft came to an abrupt stop. Post flight evaluation revealed electro/hydraulic motor DC brush failed during operation of landing gear. Pilot(s) have failed to provide all needed pilot(s) information, and the air agency (gdxs) has not provided all component information as of April 20, 2012
