From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On departure from runway 28 at kacj, aircraft departed controlled flight; the aircraft began an un-commanded roll to the right. The pilot added full power, opposite aileron and rudder to maintain directional control. The aircraft made a left base for the intersecting runway 05 and made a landing with full power. At touchdown when power was reduced the aircraft pivoted to the right and left the runway and continued across a taxiway and over an embankment, the landing gear collapsed and the aircraft slid approximately 300 feet.
