From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated on the first landing, the aircraft touched down in about the correct attitude. The mains didn't bounce, but the tail wheel seemed to bounce a couple of times. Very soon after the landing roll began, the aircraft began to veer to the right. He made an attempt to correct with rudder, but overcorrected and the airplane then veered strongly to the left, and departed the runway into the grass on the left hand side. The aircraft ground looped and damage the right wing when it touched the ground.
