What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot stated his approach and flare for touchdown were normal. Upon touchdown and initial roll out, he felt the left rudder pedal go to the floor and he was unable to stop the aircraft from veering to the right. The aircraft then proceeded to ground loop in the clockwise direction causing the damage. Inspection of the wreckage, found the rudder attach turn-buckle safety wire broken and the rudder attach rod end had disconnected from the turn-buckle. There was no indication of any stripped threads on the rod end.
