From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot in command (PIC) privacy data omitted recently purchased aircraft and was relocating aircraft from local airport to private residence. PIC stated that this was his second flight with this aircraft, and his first flight solo. PIC states that while attempting to land aircraft on his private residence dirt strip he lossed control of the aircraft due to a tail wind crashing into the hillside approximately 20FT. Short of dirt strip. Inspection of the aircraft suggest that the aircraft,s right wing hit several tree tops while attempting to land aircraft. Several witness statements corroborate this evidence in relation to the aircraft. Pilot voluntarily surrendered certificate to avoid civil penalties.
