From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that he was flying a landing pattern for a farmer's field, at 42 mph indicated airspeed. He stated that, by his own observation, this airplane would stall at 38 mph. On final approach, at approximately 200 feet above the ground, he initiated a go-around, and the airplane stalled. He initially added power but sensed that the airplane was entering a spin to the left. He reduced power and initiated a recovery from the stall and incipient spin. Before the recovery was completed, the airplane struck the ground.
