From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot in command initiated a throttle rollback on the pilot flying from approximately 800 feet AGL. The flying pilot was slow to react. The flying pilot transferred the flight controls to the pilot in command at approximately 500 feet. A descent was established and the PIC could not stop the rate of descent and gain control of the helicopter. The helicopter landed hard up against a wall. The left skid collapsed and the main and tail rotors were damaged by trees in the landing area.
