From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

3/31/2012 The pilot had a hard landing at Prescott airport (kprc) damaging the propeller. Winds were variable at 6 knots at the time of landing.privacy data omitted Stated that he was lined up on runway 21L at kprc when tower switched him to runway 21R. This switch caused him to be higher on the glide path for the new runway. In addition, he felt he was distracted by a group of people on the side of the runway. He also stated that the winds on the approach were different than the winds that he experienced near the runway and on touchdown. Because of the differing winds he was experiencing while at a higher approach altitudes, he decided to execute a wheel landing. The winds on the runway were about seven knots. He couldn't recall the direction of the winds, but stated they were approximately 20 degrees off of a direct headwind. He also said that he was late for an appointment and that he pressured himself to complete the landing. He also said he recalled the aircraft bounced once on the landing resulting in damage to the propeller.
