What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Aircraft departed rnwy 20R. Shortly after rotating, pitched steeply up followed by a stall then steep pitch down impacting the ground at about a 45 degree nose down attitude. Aircraft came to a stop on the median between the runway and taxiway. Fuselage broke in two behind rear bulkhead. Right wing impacted the runway. Left wing impacted the grassy area where the aircraft came to rest. Pilot had the trim wheel slightly nose up but not abnormal. Pilot stated during the preflight control check the controls responded appropriately. Pilot stated he pushed as hard as he could on the yoke, but the nose would not come down. Further investigation revealed an instrument vacuum hose was laying across the control column potentially restricting the movement of the flight control column.
