From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The crew had just assisted passengers in deplaning with a company made passenger loading stand with three steps and a hand rail. The stand stood approximately 5 1/2 feet tall. When the pilot repositioned the stand away from the aircraft, he did not move it FAR enough away. The aircraft taxied out for takeoff and struck the stand. It slightly damaged the fuselage and right side horizontal stabilizer. It caused most damage to the tailcone, although it was minor. The crew did not discover the damage until it had made two additional flights and returned to Bar Ten Airport.
