From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated he completed his before landing checklist and proceeded with the approach. He moved the "johnson bar" forward, and locked it in place, and the single green indication light was illuminated and landed softly on runway 36 on the main gear with the nose coming down a few seconds later. Somewhere between 30-40 knots he felt the nose gear giving way. After the prop struck the ground several times he lowered the johnson bar to drop the aircraft on its belly.
