From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot lined up to take off runway 21 at Mogollon Airpark. The pilot stated he had a light quartering tailwind. The pilot had just raised the tail when the aircraft began to veer. The pilot states that at this time during the ground roll, there was not very much rudder authority. The pilot over corrected to the right, and the aircraft continued to turn right. The aircraft was then headed directly for a hangar. The pilot states he intentionally groundlooped the aircraft to miss hitting a hangar. The pilot and passengers evacuated the aircraft. The aircraft caught fire and burned all but the empanage and outboard portion of the wings. The left wing sustained more damage from the post crash fire.
