From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On may 6, 2012 at 1900 CST, a Mooney M20J, N9119Z, s/n 24-3341, was being operated by privacy data omitted, a certificated private pilot, with one passenger on board. The pilot and his passenger were on a crosscountry flight originating at approximently 1800 from ft. smith, Arkansas (kfsm), going to its destination, Clarksville, Arkansas (H35). The pilot reported there were no abnormalities in route. In preparation for landing, the pilot stated he performed his "gumps" checks, which included lowering the landing gear. The pilot stated the gear was extended and locked. The landing was normal until on the touch down rollout. The aircraft fell onto its belly and skidded down the runway. Before disembarking, the pilot noticed the landing gear circiut breaker popped. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the nose gear linkage, nose gear and main landing gear doors and belly of the aircraft. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the incident. A flight plan was not filed. The certificated pilot and his passenger sustained no injuries. During recovery, the mechanic at the scene stated he used the emergency landing gear extend to lower the gear to the down and lock position.
