From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was performing a touch and go on runway 4U. The pilot checked the wind sock and observed it to show a slight crosswind form the left. The pilot stated during landing a very strong gust from the right near to 90 degrees pushed the plane hard to the left and raised the right wing. The pilot stated he applied full power, rudder and aileron. The aircraft was pushed off the left side of the runway. The aircraft hit a runway marker. The left gear broke off; the left wing tip impacted the ground causing the aircraft to spin to the left. The right wing and gear impacted the ground; the gear was pushed into the side of the fuselage. The aircraft spun approximately 150 degrees before coming to a stop.
