From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

American eagle flight 4069 experienced two mechanical irregularities as it departed ord. The captain declared an emergency and advised ord ATC of their desire to return to ord and land. A fly by was conducted to ascertain if the aircraft gear was properly extended. During the landing roll, the aircraft veered to the right exiting the landing runway. Aircraft was landing on runway 10 and came to a stop just short of the southern end of runway 14R. Passengers were deplaned at the scene and bussed to the terminal. No injuries were reported. The aircraft struck a runway marking sign, damaging the left main landing gear doors, the left inboard flap, and the underbelly fairing. The nose landing gear tires showed evidence of scuffing. The two left main landing gear tires were also damaged by the runway signage. The right main landing gear tires were not damaged nor did they show evidence of heavy and/or uneven breaking in that there were no flat spots to account for the heavier marking left by the number three tire.
