From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximately 1300 LCL, N9753A attempted a normal approach and landing at keyq (Weiser Air Park) on runway 09. The aircraft exited the runway 1,840 feet from the approach end of runway 09 (3,455' usable) and crossed over the grass runway 16/34. It came to rest on its nose oriented on a 130 degree heading. The ground was slightly elevated above both runway grades, soft and overgrown with dense, knee high vegetation. The aircraft was located 130 feet north of the centerline, 320 from the location where it left the runway. Ground track evidence shows a semi-exposed concrete culvert drainage pipe that runs parallel to 09/27 on the north side of runway was struck by the left main gear contributing to the off runway excursion. All aircraft flight controls and systems were found intact and operable. The pilot indicated he was returning from maintenance with no known discrepancies. Although no loss of life or injury resulted from this accident, the airframe, engine, propeller and landing gear were substantially damaged.
