From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximately 1345 hours, the FSDO received a report of an aircraft off of the runway. Limited information was received, but there was not any injuries and the aircraft had already been moved.

Arrived at okv at 1530 and made contact with airport manager Ms. Serena manual ( 540-662-5786 ). A quick de-brief was accomplished: 1) aircraft went off the runway, 2) no injuries 3) aircraft was moved to the maintenance facility for repair.

About that time operations supervisor Mr. David foley arrived at the terminal and he escorted us to runway 14-32.

The skidmarks indicate that the aircraft touched down at 1100 ft of runway 32. The aircraft then veered off to the right, traveling 150 ft. at the 1250 ft mark, the aircraft exited the runway onto to the grass. The aircraft then traveled parallel to the runway for 300 ft, striking a landing light, shearing it off at the base. The aircraft then re-entered the runway at the next runway touch down mark. The aircraft stopped at approximately 1550 ft from the approach end of the runway.

An operations inspector (ASI)interviewed the instructor pilot and his student pilot. The instructor stated that the student was flying under his supervision when they landed

On runway 32 in the normal touchdown area, but slightly to the right of the

Centerline. Upon touchdown the aircraft veered sharply to the right.

The instructor immediately took control of the aircraft, added full power and control inputs to return the aircraft to the runway centerline. When

Back on the centerline he landed and stopped the aircraft.

The instructor pilot also provided a written statement: "at around 1300

Pm, I was flying N329ME with my student and as we were trying to land at rwy 32 at Winchester (okv), the airplane turned right.

I had to take the controls while airborne low off the ground. The right

Strut made contact with one of the runway lights. After that I made a

Flat tire landing and stopped on the runway."

The aircraft did display evidence of the runway light impact marks on the

Right gear leg, saddle and wheel pant. Subsequent maintenance inspection

Did not reveal any damage.

The right main tire assembly as removed displayed a flat spot on the

Center portion of the tread. The tire tube as removed had a 1/32" hole

In the sidewall.

As the FAA filed it

AT APPROXIMATELY 1345 HOURS, THE FSDO RECEIVED A REPORT OF AN AIRCRAFT OFF OF THE RUNWAY. LIMITED INFORMATION WAS RECEIVED, BUT THERE WAS NOT ANY INJURIES AND THE AIRCRAFT HAD ALREADY BEEN MOVED.

ARRIVED AT OKV AT 1530 AND MADE CONTACT WITH AIRPORT MANAGER MS.SERENA MANUAL ( 540-662-5786 ).
