From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 30, 2012, at approx. 1030L, privacy data omitted of N96282, a Taylorcraft BC12-D aircraft, that landed at Benton County Airport, 0M4, for fuel, attempted to hand prop his aircraft after fueling. privacy data omitted Was enroute from bardstown, KY, to houston, TX. privacy data omitted Set the chocks under the wheels and set the throttle at idle with mags off. He pulled the prop thru, then set the mags to both, rechecked the throttle, set at full idle, and set the friction lock. privacy data omitted Pulled the prop about 5 times, but the engine did not start. privacy data omitted Then went back to the cockpit and slightly cracked open the throttle again and reset the friction lock. privacy data omitted Propped the engine again, the engine did not start, he tried a second time, and the engine started to rev up to a high RPM. privacy data omitted Tried to run around to the cockpit, but the aircraft jumped the chocks, and started rolling. privacy data omitted Tried to grab the door frame, but missed. He tried to grab onto the horizontal stab, but got knocked down. The aircraft started to turn in circles. The aircraft was moving towards another aircraft, N3073W, that was parked on the ramp. privacy data omitted Aircraft impacted N3073W on the left wing tip causing damage to the wing tip and aileron on N3073W. privacy data omitted Again made a couple of attempts to grab onto the horizontal stab of his aircraft as the aircraft swung by. In his final attempted privacy data omitted ended up sitting on the right side of the horizontal stab. The aircraft started to bend and twist. privacy data omitted Dragged his feet on the ground, which straightened the aircraft up. The aircraft made 2 more circles and came to rest on the taxi way. privacy data omitted Yelled for help. The airport manager came to privacy data omitted aid. They were able to shut down and secure the aircraft and park it back on the ramp. privacy data omitted Then drove himself to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
