From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was spraying from east to west along the south side of a powerline corridor. As aircraft entered field on east side, it struck the lower power line, cutting the line with the propeller, then dipped into the corn field. Pilot pulled out to gain altitude, aircraft veered to the right and impacted the north pole on the two-pole set. The aircraft continued for approximately 1/4 mile and crash landed into a corn field. There was a post fire crash and the aircraft was destroyed. The pilot died approximately 7 hours later due to burn injuries he sustained.
