From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot landed in Northway Alaska without any problems. At the end of the runway the pilot had trouble turning the twin engine tail wheeled aircraft around to taxi back to parking. The aircraft did a left 360 and another 180 on the ground before heading back down the runway. The pilot lost control and the aircraft veered to the left off the runway and stopped about 250 feet off the paved surface. The left engine propeller was in the feathered position and the damage indicated that it was feathered before it had impacted an airport sign on the edge of the runway. No damage occurred to the right engine. At some point during landing or during the turn around at the end of the runway the left engine became feathered and therefore no longer produced thrust causing the aircraft to turn left due to right engine producing the only thrust while the left was still running but not producing thrust. The only problem the pilot reported with the aircraft was a generator problem before landing. Ptrs AL01201202347IAL0120120012

As the FAA filed it

THE ONLY PROBLEM THE PILOT REPORTED WITH THE AIRCRAFT WAS A GENERATOR PROBLEM BEFORE LANDING.PTRS AL01201202347IAL0120120012
