From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At the completion of a 20 minute student solo flight in the pattern at pcz the pilot of the mishap aircraft landed on runway 31, taxiied off on runway 28 and took the first taxiway off. He called clear of the runway and announced he was taxiing to the ramp on UNICOM. A citation 560, N52WF, was on the ramp forward of and facing away from the student pilot's intended taxi path. They were completing their preflight checks prior to departure, and did hear the mishap aircraft's call on UNICOM. The student pilot stopped before he passed aft of the citation, and noted the beacon was on, but didn't see any indication that the engines were running. He then began to pass behind the jet on his way to parking. He did not make a call on UNICOM that he was doing so. As he passed behind the jet it began its taxi, and the break away thrust used to start it moving spun the mishap aircraft nearly 180 degrees, striking the prop and left wingtip. The citation then turned right to leave the ramp area and made its departure call on UNICOM. They then saw the mishap aircraft, but were unaware that it had beed damaged at that time.

As the FAA filed it
