From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft touched down at kbid on runway 10, 150 feet past taxiway bravo. Tire skid marks (both tires) immediately appear and angle 30 degrees to the left. The aircraft departed the runway at the intersection of charlie taxiway. The left under-wing pitot tube contacted the light on top of the charlie taxiway sign, removing the light from the mounting. The pitot tube was sheared off and the landing light lens on the left wing was shattered. The aircraft continued across another taxiway and came to rest in a grassy area next to the east side of the terminal parking area, approximately 1000 feet from the touchdown point. Aircraft damage assessment:(1) left pitot tube sheared off. Evidence of slight damage to underwing skin surrounding pitot attachment housing.(2) left landing light lens broken. No evidence of damage surrounding housing.(3) left tire partically dislocated from the rim but still attached. Evidence of tearing on inboard portion of the tire.(4) left brake caliper assembly broken free. Attached only by the hydraulic lines. The gear struts did not appear distorted. No cracks were observed. No other aircraft damage observed.
