From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The part 135 flight emanated from the Indianapolis International Airport (kind) in route to the north bay airport (cyyb) located in ontario Canada. The pilot reported that within 5 minutes after takeoff, he noticed the circuit breaker for the electroluminescent (el) panel was not engaged. Determining that this equipment was non-essential, the flight was continued. At about twenty minutes into the flight the left pitot heat circuit breaker popped. Shortly thereafter both crew members became aware of a burning electrical smell in the cockpit although no smoke was ever observed. Air traffic control (ATC) was notified and the crew requested to return to the kind. The aircraft landed without further incident.
