From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During training flight in multiengine aircraft, PIC performed inflight shutdown of right engine using emergency checklist to simulate engine failure. During the attempt to restart engine propeller would not unfeather. Multiple attempts were made to restart engine using emergency checklist procedures with no success. PIC declared an emergency and landed aircraft with no incident. An inspection was performed on both prop unfeathering accumulators with no defects noted. As a precautionary measure maintenance changed the oil and filters on both engines. A test flight was conducted and both engines were shut down and restarted successfully with no incident. Reviewed maint log and verified that an annual inspection was performed on the aircraft prior to incident.
