From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated during final approach to runway 2 established a good stable approach, descended to the flare just past the numbers and touched down about less than a quarter of the way down the runway. To that point the approach to landing and flare seemed normal and the beginning of a good 3 point landing. Right as the wheels touched I felt the aircraft begin to lift slightly and yaw left as the mains settled again and the aircraft ground looped to the left. The aircraft pitched forward and to the right.

As the FAA filed it
