From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The engine run-up was normal. Then seconds after the aircraft was maneuvering to establish a normal climb the engine shut down in flight. The loose of power resulted in aircraft continued on its northerly flight path the aircraft executed an off field landing into a dirt field. Were the nose wheel came in contact with a dirt berm collapsing nose gear. The aircraft's sudden de- acceleration rate compounded with the nose down attitude caused the aircraft to then flip over on to its top. The pilots were hanging upside down in their restraints; they released and executed a safe egress. No injuries were reported.
