What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Airman stated that he was attempting to exit mid-field due to an aircraft waiting to depart 13. In anticipation of exiting left at H2 he began favoring the left side of the runway, upon reaching H2 he realized his speed was too great to make the turn off the runway. Airman elected to discontinue with attempt at exiting at H2, applied right rudder in an effort to move back towards runway center-line. Due to a lack of rudder authority at that speed (airflow over rudder) the input was ineffective. The aircraft was at the edge of the runway when the airman started applying more right brake pressure to further attempt a correction towards the center-line. This increased brake pressure resulted in the nose over incident.
As the FAA filed it
AIRMAN STATED THAT HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO EXIT MID-FIELD DUE TO AN AIRCRAFT WAITING TO DEPART 13.
