From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 21, 2012, at approximately 15:30 eastern standard time N6839R, a Cirrus design corporation SR22, serial number 0405, landed at Palm Beach county Glades airpark located in Pahokee Florida. The flight was a 14 CFR part 91 personal operation with the pilot and one passenger. The pilot stated that after an uneventful landing on runway 35 the aircraft was taxied to the local fixed base operator (FBO) for fuel. The aircraft was parked long enough to take on 67 gallons of fuel and for the pilot and passenger to use the FBO facilities. After re-boarding the aircraft the pilot stated he began to taxi back to runway 35 for take off. During taxi the pilot explained that the brakes felt as if they were dragging and were not functioning properly. The aircraft was turned around and returned to the ramp area by the FBO. At this time line personnel noticed white smoke emanating from both main landing gear wheel assemblies. After engine shut down both main landing gear assemblies were engulfed by fire. Line personnel called fire rescue and began to extinguish the fire with approximately five hand held fire extinguishers. When fire rescue arrived only a small fire remained which was extinguished. Substantial damage to the landing gear and lower wing skin resulted. Wing skin on both left and right side consists of substantial delimitation of the composite structure. Both left and right main wheel assemblies were completely destroyed, as well as the composite landing gear strut assemblies. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.NTSB will further investigate to determine probable cause.

As the FAA filed it
