From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that on the night of November 4,2012, he landed N3713N, and forgot to put the aircraft landing gear down. He stated that on the approach to runway 23 at Bessemer airport (eky), he made radio contact with the airport and started a descent on to the PAPI or VASI. As he got closer to the field the runway lights seem to cut off. He stopped his descent and proceeded to level the aircraft. He attempted to turn the lights back on and forgot to put the landing gear down. The investigation revealed that the aircraft incurred minor damage, and there were no injuries as a result of this incident.
