From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Spoke with privacy data omitted and privacy data omitted, they stated departed teterboro airport, at 10,000 ft they saw a "miscompare" light flicker and go out. At 12,000 ft the light came on and stayed on, ATC directed the aircraft to make a left bank then a right bank to continue their course. When the crew went to make the right bank, the aircraft control column would not move. PIC stated that he repeated to co-pilot that he had controls. The co-pilot wasn't on the controls. After some time trying to force the aircraft column to the right and putting in trim the crew heard a bang noise and the column was able to move to the right but not smoothly. Diverted to mmu and Cessna NY is conducting maintenance and they will update us. Cessna test pilots flew aircraft to Cessna orlando, they had no issue with the aircraft. Cessna is going to perform regularly scheduled maintenance but feels no further action on the flight controls is needed.
