From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On dec 23, 2012 at 13:15 local time at (kbct) Boca Raton Airport, N4340G taxied to RW5 to begin a local flight to air glades airport.

Run-up showed no problems. After lift-off gear-up rotation was begun. At about 100 ft AGL engine power stopped, propeller wind milled and plane stalled.

Stall recovery without power was initiated. Full elevator forward established a nose-down configuration. Full-flare was unable to arrest the decent. Aircraft touched the runway on three wheels at once. The left-main collapsed and the nose wheel was forced into the stored position beneath the engine. After impact the aircraft slid off the left side of runway near taxi way (bravo). The pilot and single passenger exited the front seat unharmed. A wrecker was hired to relocate the aircraft back to pilot?s hanger.
