From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After touchdown and during rollout on runway 22R at dtw, the aircraft began to veer off to the left side of the runway. The captain attempted to steer the aircraft back towards the runway centerline but the aircraft did not respond. As the aircraft drifted from the runway centerline, the left main landing gear did contact two taxiway lights at the intersection of runway 22R and taxiway A7. Eventually, the captain did regain control of the aircraft and steered it back towards the runway centerline. The aircraft then taxied to the gate without further incident. Although the aircraft received no damage, blue light debris was found on the left main gear brake assembly and airport personnel reported damage to the taxiway lights at the incident location.

While on final approach, the flight crew received pilot reports of fair to poor braking action for runway 22R and immediately before landing, the braking action was reported as fair. The crew elected to use "medium" autobrakes due to the runway conditions and the crew used normal reverse thrust upon touchdown. Also, two spoiler panels on each wing were deferred as per the MEL. It is possible that the aircraft lost traction upon landing due to limited spoiler performance. This event was managed through the delta air lines aviation safety action program (asap).

As the FAA filed it
