From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot reported that on approach to kaug, all indications were normal for landing on runway 35. He states, as he landed in the touchdown zone the left brake pedal went all the way to the floor with no braking action. He states, he used aerodynamic braking to slow the aircraft while maintaining directional control. He states, as he slowed the aircraft with the right brake the left propeller hit a runway light.

Upon return to hya on the special flight permit the pilot reported the left brake was soft. Maintenance inpsected the brake system and found no discrepancies. As a result maintenance replaced the master cylinder, the parking brake valve and rebuilt both brake calipers as precautionary.
