From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During final decent into kdvt, student initiated the gear down lever. The instructor noticed the left main landing gear safe light was off and the unsafe landing gear light was on. ATC was notified of problem and instructor made several attempts to get the landing gear down and locked. Instructor notified ATC and informed them he was unsuccessful in performing this function. ATC instructed aircrew to land on rwy 7R at kdvt. During the landing rollout at Deer Valley Airport on March 10, 2013 at approximately eleven am local time, the left main gear collapsed causing the aircraft to veer to the left, north of rwy 7R and coming to a rest in the gravel.
