From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was making a low pass over runway 36, gear was up, speed reported by the pilot was 140 mph at 50 feet above runway. During an attempted go around, the pilot reported engine failure. Due to altitude and airspeed, the pilot elected to dissipate some of the airspeed by reversing course. The pilot banked to the right pulled aircraft up to complete a 180 degree turn to land on the opposite runway. After the bank to the right, pilot stated he make a steep bank to the left, with a high pitch attitude, the pilot then felt the aircraft buffet and entering a stall. He lowered the nose and levelled the wings of the aircraft just prior to crashing the aircraft into a ravine on the west side of the runway.
