What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On Thursday March 28, 2013 with two pilots on board during flight instruction around the Dunkirk airport the right main landing gear failed to retract after the last take off. The pilots heard a thump from the right side of the aircraft. The instructor pilot attempted to cycle the landing gear numerous time but the right main gear would not respond and would only hang in the unlocked position. The instructor pilot selected the landing gear in the retracted position and landed the aircraft. When the aircraft touched down the right main gear was pushed back up into the wheel well and the aircraft came to a stop on it's belly. No fire or smoke was present and the pilots open the doors and left the aircraft.
