From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft experienced a dual prop strike on an attempted landing at Ann Arbor Municipal Airport (karb) due to the landing gear not being extended.

The pilot stated that he normally puts the gear down when he intercepts the glide path but he may have become distracted due to a late handoff to the karb tower and the controller at the tower hassling him for calling him so late. He also stated that he didnt recall hearing the gear warning horn and he simply failed to extend the gear. Then the first thing he realized was a "click, click" sound. He then pulled back on the stick and initiated a go around. The go around was uneventful with the pilot stating the props looked intact and there was no vibration, with the only abnormality being that the plane climbed slowly. The pilot was able to land the plane safely.

The aircraft sustained damage to both props.

As the FAA filed it
