From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC reported that after takeoff, he retracted the landing gear, but did not get a "up & locked" yellow light indication. Lights (green & yellow) were "tested" and found to be working. The PIC decided to put the gear down but was not able to get a down and locked (green light) indicator. The PIC attempted to lower the landing gear by use of the manual (emergency) pump with out success. The aircraft landed without the landing gear down and locked. The aircraft was damaged. There was no injury to the PIC or passenger.

Inspection of the aircraft found the hydraulic power pack reservoir to be empty. Cause of the depletion could not be determined. The electric motor still operated, however, the coupling between the motor and the pump may have been sheared , because no system pressure could be obtained when the reservoir was serviced and the power pack activated. There was manual pump pressure obtained.

As the FAA filed it
