From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 28, 2013 at approximately 1100 hours local, a zenith stol CH750 manufactured by privacy data omitted, registration number N699TX, serial number 75-8037, departed runway 4 at Paragould, AR airport (kpgr) destined for grosse ile, Michigan municipal airport (konz) in visual flight rules weather conditions with light wind. While climbing out at approximately 2500FT MSL about five miles northeast of the airport the engine developed an immediate and heavy vibration and the pilot turned towards the airport planning to make a straight in to runway 22. However, within about 15 seconds the vibration became more pronounced and the propeller separated from the aircraft. The pilot selected a suitable field to land the aircraft and executed an emergency landing. The air transport rated pilot operated the 14 code of federal regulation part 91 flight with no flight plan. The pilot was uninjured and the aircraft received minor damage to the engine cowling.
