What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Air Wisconsin flt #3758, clt-yyz, was at flight level 310. Upon approaching an area of thunderstorms, the captain advised the flight attendant (fa) to take her seat. The fa made a pa announcement for passengers to remain seated and ensure their seatbelts were securely fastened. She was unable to do her compliance check but all passengers were seated. The flight encountered moderate or greater turbulence for approximately 2 minutes. The fa advised the pilots that 3 passengers had struck their heads on overhead panels and she requested medical personnel meet the flight. No emergency was declared and the flight landed without incident. Emts met the flight and examined and released the 3 passengers. After clearing customs, one of the passengers requested transportation to the hospital. The director of safety for A6WA sent the following email concerning this passenger:
"In follow-up to your request, our information at this point reveals that initially the passenger in question felt fine, but before leaving the airport felt unsettled. At the advice of his family he was transported to the local hospital via ambulance where he received a CT test showing no injuries. He soon began to feel better and was released.
Also, in discussions with the NTSB, they do not need any further information on this event and will not initiate or open an investigation as the severity of the event does not require formal reporting from air Wisconsin.
Accordingly, our event investigation will be closed as well.
