From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot made comments and left a note for his girlfriend. She called the police and went to the airport. They struggled over the aircraft keys but he got them away from her, started the aircraft, and departed. After a short flight and a few reckless flybys he lined up on the grass runway 33, (as reported consistently by multiple witnesses), pulled into a very steep climb reaching more than 1000' until the aircraft stalled, pushed the nose over and, retaining full throttle, impacted the ground in a vertical descent.
