What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
A/c coming into approach to rwy 17 at tiw, cleared for landing. Aircraft touches left main gear, a/c goes back up, comes back down on nose gear. Bounce on nose gear, second time, nose gear shears off just above attach point at wheel fork. A/c then skips on nose landing gear strut, bottom of engine cowl makes contact, propeller makes contact. Engine stops, a/c skids to stop left of center on rwy.
Pilot is not injured, tower saw a/c flare, was then talking with another a/c on approach, when tower looks back, this a/c has already skidded to stop on rwy.
