From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
After taking on load of fertilizer, pilot advanced prop to come out of feather and checked flight controls for freedom of movement. All appeared normal. When power was advanced and takeoff roll started, pilot tried to push right rudder to counteract p-factor and left turn. Right rudder stopped before full travel and could not be pushed further.
Pilot could not maintain directional control and aborted takeoff. Airplane entered ditch then climbed up embankment onto road. The prop struck the road and stopped. Right gear was broken off.
