From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 8-26-2013 I spoke to privacy data omitted and he indicated that he was flying with a passenger and didn't see any traffic but then he hit something and went down in the trees just west of the field. His machine suffered some damage but is repairable. The right wheel was broken, and some structural tubing broken below the engine. It appears after talking to the other pilot that this pilot privacy data omitted was above the other aircraft when he struck his parachute. privacy data omitted And his passenger sustained non life threatening injuries and both walked from the scene. It appears that privacy data omitted pilot certificate is an expired student license.
