From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC was landing at ellington field (efd) on runway 22 with a slight crosswind. Wind was reported at 170 at 10 KTS. Pilot allowed the aircraft to drift to the right side of the runway and then executed a go-around. During the go-around the aircraft struck a runway distance sign with the right main gear. The sign stands five feet tall about 40 feet to the side of runway 22. Pilot returned for a landing on runway 17R. During touch down the right main gear collapsed causing the aircraft to veer right, completing a 180 degree turn and come to rest about 100 feet off the right side of the runway on the grass. Right main gear collapsed because the attach bolts failed. Damage was to the right main gear, right main gear door and a small dent to the right flap. Runway distance sign was destroyed.
