From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot made several high power turnups and high speed taxies to verify the engine was working properly. Pilot applied power and started down the runway. At reaching what the pilot thought was a safe flying speed he rotated the aircraft and nothing happened. He lowered the nose and put in one notch of flaps and tried to rotate again. The aircraft did not want to fly. He landed past the end of the runway and slid through approximately 150 yards of tall grass before impacting the trees sideways.
