From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At around 0950 local time, while practicing slow flight manuevers, the pilots experienced and unexpected (zero) throttle response when trying to increase power.

The pilots landed the aircraft in a mowed farm field located at 8504 guilford rd, Seville, OH. As the aircraft decelerated, the l/h wing struck a corn row, turning the aircraft 100 degrees to the left and sliding an additional 30 feet into the corn rows.

No injuries were reported, and only minimal damage resulted from the contact with the corn stocks.
